Business Analyst
Here’s a fantastic opportunity to build your career in a supportive environment with a visionary team. Culture and interesting projects have a big focus, and your personal life is respected and valued.
If this appeals, we’d love to talk to you. Good People is representing a great organisation in the Manawatu seeking a Business Analyst to join the team.
The Opportunity
The BA team is entering a new era after the end of a significant project – and they want you to help steer them towards that future. They are part of a wider Digital department with a friendly, innovative culture and loads of great things going on.
This is a commercial rather than a technical BA role, with a wide breadth of project disciplines available to get your teeth into. That said, there is a strong focus on technology projects.
You’ll act as the right hand to the team manager, trusted to independently run complex projects and provide senior expertise.
Revising and recreating practices and artefacts alongside the team manager will be a focus, as they reshape how they do things moving into their new era!
You’ll be a trusted partner to the wider business, working with a variety of stakeholders to collect, clarify and translate requirements into design and specs for solution development.
The role also participates in configuration, data migration, testing, training and pre/post go live support.
As a senior member of the team, you’ll help to support and mentor your colleagues, encouraging them to grow their skills and the breadth of their experience.
About You
Teamwork and values will be important to you, and you’ll want to belong to a culture that supports and encourages everyone.
Naturally, you’ll have previous experience in a BA position or a similar capacity, with exposure to a wide range of project disciplines, including technology.
‘Stakeholder relationships’ will be your middle name – you’ll love working with people and being that bridge to translate requirements.
Familiarity with writing software requirements, test specifications, and software development lifecycles would be a useful string to your bow.
You’ll want flexibility and a great work environment from an organisation that can deliver on this.
Why Working With Them is Great
The job itself – the team and their projects. Not only is there interesting variety, but an opportunity to help shape the way things are done going forward. So much potential!
They are open to flexibility and hybrid working options. You can co-design the working practices you wish with them for this role, within reason.
They have good leadership with a strong and positive future vision, with a very interesting journey ahead of them. It’s a great time to get involved.
Lifestyle! While it’s a meaty role, this is an organisation that values you as a human and respects your personal time. They’ll encourage you to have a great home life and a strong career.
SFIA Skills
Have you heard of the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA)?
These are the key skills we’re interested in for this position. You may not have all these skills, but you will likely have a collection of them, or perhaps other skills that are closely related. Find out more at: sfia.nz/sfia8
